Stranded on a Desert Island and a special visitor!

We had a fun week in Birch Class last week. In Science we have been learning about what humans need to survive. After we came in from break we found that the class had been turned in to a Desert Island and we were stranded! We had to think about what we would need to survive – the essential items and one luxury item. We wrote messages, put them in bottles and threw them in to the sea.

Later in the week we had a visit from Mrs Grinnell and her daughter, Amelia. Mrs Grinnell answered all of the questions we had prepared about what parents do to look after their babies and what babies need as they grow up. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and it was nice to have Amelia in our class for the afternoon!
