Remote Education at Lambley Primary School
At Lambley Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all of our pupils continue to receive high-quality education, regardless of any disruptions to normal school routines. Whether due to temporary school closures, isolation periods, or other unforeseen circumstances, we aim to provide a seamless learning experience for all our pupils through remote education.
It is important to stress that for short-term illness (e.g. 2 day sickness bug), we will not send work home or apply our remote education plan. If a child is too unwell to attend school, our priority is that they rest, are well cared for, and return to school fit, healthy, and ready to learn.
For longer-term absences due to injury or medical need, our remote education plan will be applied once the child is well enough to access and engage with it.
Our Approach to Remote Learning
We believe that remote learning should be engaging, effective, and supportive. Our goal is to ensure that children continue to make progress in their learning while working from home, with access to the same curriculum and opportunities as they would in the classroom.
-
Recorded Lessons : If the remote education is due to a whole class having to isolate, pre-recorded lessons will be available for pupils to access at a time that works best for you and them.
-
Live Lessons: If the whole class need remote education, teachers will do a daily live lesson to check in on progress with the work, address misconceptions and provide quality first teaching.
-
Learning Materials: Any pupil requiring remote education will have access to a range of learning resources, including worksheets, interactive activities, and videos, which are aligned with the National Curriculum.
-
Support: Teachers will continue to provide feedback on pupils’ work, offer one-to-one support, and ensure that children have access to additional help when needed.
We are committed to making remote learning as engaging and interactive as possible, providing opportunities for children to ask questions, collaborate with their peers, and enjoy a well-rounded educational experience.
Key Tools for Remote Learning
To ensure that our pupils can continue to learn effectively at home, we utilise a number of trusted tools and platforms. These tools allow pupils to access lessons, interact with their teachers, and submit their work:
Class Dojo/Tapestry and class teacher email address: If your child encounters any issues with online learning or needs to submit work directly to their teacher, Dojo/Tapestry or email is always a reliable form of communication.
