Our Vision

As a school, we place great emphasis on reading; the key building block for future learning. By placing reading at the heart of all we do, we ensure full access to our varied and exciting curriculum. Our work is underpinned by quality texts that create a love for learning, enable the children to develop as confident readers and ensure they can progress across all learning areas.

We ensure that the children are given time to read for pleasure and to listen to stories. Both these opportunities develop the skills needed to support the children’s learning and progress.

Library

School has recently updated and enhanced its school library. Each topic taught in school is now supported by quality fiction and non-fiction right across school. Not only will this help to develop confident readers but it will also enhance their knowledge of the topics they are taught.

Alongside this, school have also created our first Virtual Library. When visiting our Virtual Library, all children will be given the chance to listen to great texts being read aloud. We hope this continues to encourage all the children to develop a love of books.
