Show not Tell
This week, Beech Class have been describing characters’ emotions using a technique called “Show not Tell”. To do this effectively we have been discussing how characters show their emotions in their expressions, voice and movement. Here is Sofia A and Niall’s paragraph:
He was enraged as he saw someone breaking his model. He clutched his hands together and his face went red. He fought back tears that were dripping from his eyes. He ran to the corner wanting to scream as loud as he could.

This week’s word of the week is “crevice” chosen from our guided reading. Holly was able to explain to the class what the word meant and her definition was almost exactly the same as the dictionary definition!
