We’ve had an incredible week, it was jam packed full of new and fun stuff. This weeks word of the week is TRAUMA e.g. Indica had a trauma on the floor.

On Monday we went to Colonel Frank Seely and did some English & Science that we shall be carrying on in the following weeks.

On Tuesday we had Sports Day, with at amazing victory where Cromwell won, then Pearson and Flamstead in second, sadly that left Trinity last.

And finally, today (Thursday), a nice paramedic came in to show us the equipment they use and how to use it by showing us on our teacher Mrs Berber. Then we went outside to act out what would happen if the ambulance came to someone, with the help of the amazing  Emma, who was playing the person who fell of her bike. It was a wonderful and educational experience.

This weeks word of the week is CONCOCT e.g. ‘We help the Candy King CONCOCT curiously crude candy and criminally contaminated confectionary.’ We have mainly been practicing for the play ‘The Amazing Adventures of Superstan’. In maths we have been doing some murder mysteries.

This week we have been rehearsing for the end of year summer show called THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SUPERSTAN. We have also been writing an assesment on the video Taking Flight. Our word of the week is oblivious. e.g The little girl was oblivious to her surroundings.

This week’s word of the week is Supersonic. e.g ‘The supersonic man of steel’. Before the Holidays, Oak Class went on a resedential to Castleton for 3 days and 2 nights. We went on a wild goose chase around and up the village trying to find places. We went into the caves and learned about the history and cool facts. We also did GPS work finding about the village’s Blue John. On Friday, we were doing survival training like how to light a fire and to build a safe den.

Lately, we have started rehearsing for our summer play: ‘The Amazing Adventures of Superstan!’ It has been hard work but we have only just started!

SATS has finished. After a long week of tests, it has all come to an end. This week’s word of the week is energetic. e.g. Indeeka woke up feeling energetic. However, this week we are going on a resedential from Wednesday to Friday. Not forgetting about the play coming up soon!

SATS week is only 3 days away, we have been practising non-stop all week. Its been chaos but we have been working our socks off. Mrs Berber is the best teacher we could ask for. The word of the week is ‘Success‘ e.g. ‘The week of tests was a success!’

Our word of the week is Pandemonium. |For example: ‘It was PANDEMONIUM!’ This week we have been doing test after test after test. In French we did shopping conversations and some shop items. In P.E. we played rounders but the diffrence was, we didn’t use any bats like you would in a normal game, instead we threw the ball. Through the week we had different people help us through our tests. We would like to say thank you to; Mrs Wood, Mrs Dilnot, Mrs Porter, Mrs Crosby, Mr Robinson (not the juice) and of course Mrs Berber And on Friday we had football with Notts County!

Oak Class had a basketball match on Thursday and we used all our techniques! We tried our hardest and scored alot of baskets. Since SATS is only in 2 weeks we have been studying and practicing very hard. Notts County are coming in to do some P.E. with us and The word of the week is debate for example,”We had a basketball debate.”

This week (In P.E.) we have started doing handball with Notts County. Also we have been busy doing SATS practice all throughout the week. The word of the week is insignificant. For e.g. “The price was insignificant.”

This week our word of the week is inspired.                                              Helping with nature, oak class took a trip to Gedling country park. Planting trees to make a hedge. On Tuesday, we did some investigations in maths using numicon blocks.As seen in the photos.

The word of the week is Flourished. This Week we have been doing many assesments and starting to get ready for SATS. On Thursday we had Miss Hall come in to our class after school to teach us about the Fibonacci number sequence while other teachers sat at the back of the classromm watching us.

This week’s word of the week is Picturesque. Some people from Oak Class and Beech Class went to a basketball tournament on Monday. But we still don’t know who won. On Thursday we had a trip to Southwell Minster. We had a great time and learned new things.

This week’s word is “Quarantined” For example; They were made to remain indoors to be quarantined. Oak have also done Bike Ability on Wednesday for the whole day. We had two instructors and for the first part of the day we had the playground to practice on and after lunch we went onto the roads. We have also been doing practice tests throughout the week.

This weeks word is flabbergasted. For example; I was flabbergasted at her amazing dance. Oak is participating in the 500 word Story competition.This is a competition which happens every year. Children all around Britain write a story using a maximum of 500 words.

This week’s word is CONTRAST. For example; I need a contrast of colours in my painting. If we can manage to write a sentence with that word we will get a house point. We have done a workout on Thursday for the NSPCC charity.

This week’s word is menacing. We’ve been trying to use it in sentences for a house point. Here is an example; The man had menacing eyes. On Wednesday a group of children from Oak and Beech went to an Athletics competition at Arnold Hill. We had to do a series of tasks like speed jump, long jump, chest throw and races. We came 4th and we were very happy!

An icy start to the week as a cloud of snow fell overnight. That meant that we couldn’t play outside but that didn’t stop us going to the pantomime to see a brilliant performance. Tuesday morning,still snow though we played outside and had an epic time!

This week has not been a dull week for Oak Class nor the rest of the school as we all have been preparing for the Christmas Fair and have been having lots of assessments. Since we went to the Holocaust Centre last week, Oak Class have been writing a diary entry about our day there. Not forgetting about the Christmas dinner which is on the 13th, the whole school pantomime on the 11th to watch Jack And The Beanstalk and the KS1 Nativity.
